In terms of taste, the leanest of the bunch. Noses of peat and brine, is a hint warm on the tongue, with a mix of peat and iodine. A solid intermingling of 7, 8 and 9 year old malts.

The Bowmore legend was my first bottle from the Bowmore distillery. I was pleased with the initial smell of my glass of this scotch. It was as if I was smelling Scotland (the good parts). It came across with the smells of peat, but not overpowering. The taste was just as I expected. It had an earthy peaty flavor to it. At first I wasnt sure if this was going to be a whisky that I liked. After a couple of sips I was turned around on Bowmore Legend. It ended with a strong finish that left me wanting more. This is a decent Islay at a decent price.
