Laphroaig Quarter Cask Single Islay Malt Scotch Whisky

Product Details
A vibrant young Laphroaig whose maturation has been speeded up by ageing in Quarter Casks. This shows soft sweetness and a velvety feel when first tasted, then the intense peatiness so unique to Laphroaig comes bursting through. A really terrific whisky and great value.

By far one of the best tasting, peatiest single malts I've ever had. Smoother than the 10 year, in this scotch you find an exquisite,  high-quality scotch that outclasses many pricier scotches. For the price, Laphroaig Quarter Cask can't be beat!
Nose

Summary: Permanent Place In My Cabinet
August 5th, 2012
This is a very complex, rewarding whisky if one takes the time to savor it. It complements BBQ and grilled steak. A few drops of water transforms this wonderful whisky into a silky smooth any-time-of-day dram. All of this for around $60.
Nose
Mildly floral sweet with pronounced peat overtone. The alcohol gives a slight twinge to the nostrils
Taste
Begins with the charactistic Laphroaig peat followed by high percent cacao chocolate with a hint of coal smoke.
Finish
The finish is long with a pleasant warming at the back of the mouth and upper throat; developing a mild spiciness.
