Summary: Humble and Malty
September 12th, 2008
Very nice whiskey. The Japanese are starting to make really good whiskey. The 18 is even better but overpriced. This is still a good whiskey.
Nose
Malty and light wood. Not much burn either.
Taste
Thick and slightly sweet at first, then turns a little tangy. Just a hint of wood and smoke. Very clean but still light burn.
Finish
Somewhat of a bitter aftertaste. After the seet it turns a little tangy. Makes you want to drink more to avoid the lingering bitterness.
