Last night's Whisk(e)y Wednesday was a non-whiskey event "Cocktails for the Deep Winter: A look at Tequila and Rhum cocktails for the deep freeze."

They handed out recipe cards so I thought I'd share those:

Tequila Cobbler
- 2oz Tanteo Cocoa Infused Tequila
- 1oz Sorel Liqueur
- 1/4oz sugar syrup
- 1 slice orange
Shake all ingredients hard with ice and strain into a tall ice-filled glass. Garnish with fresh raspberries and blackberries.

Snow Owl Old Fashioned
- 1oz El Buho Mezcal
- 1oz Alma Reposado Tequila
- 1/2oz Agave Nectar
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 slice orange zest
Twist orange zest in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass, and add bitters and agave nectar. Add a few ice cubes and the mezcal, and again stir well. Top up with ice as desired and add small straw for stirring.

Martinique Spice Sidecar
- 2oz Clement VSOP Rhum
- 1oz Clement Creole Shrubb
- 3/4oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove nutmeg
Shake all ingredients hard with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Grate fresh nutmeg over the cocktail and garnish with lemon twist.

All three were pretty good.
